Shaggy is available through our "Adopt From a Foster Home" program. Please email adopt@calgaryhumane.ca if you are interested in scheduling a meeting. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as Shaggy is not available to meet on site.

Greetings from Shaggy, a friendly bearded dragon in search of a new home. Like any beardie, Shaggy will require a spacious tank with hiding spots, basking areas, a UVB bulb, and heat lamps. He enjoys dining on a mix of fresh leafy greens and protein sources (invertebrates preferred). Bearded dragons are very social and intelligent animals, so it will be important to provide Shaggy with regular mental enrichment in addition to his care requirements. Shaggy's foster family tells us he is a social and curious boy who is equally happy exploring or cuddling up with a human. First-time reptile owners may find Shaggy to be a great pet, but they should do their research as beardies have specific care requirements for success.
