Padme is a barn cat, and is not available through our general adoption program. Please email adopt@calgaryhumane.ca if you are interested in adoption. Do not make an appointment through our booking calendar.

Age: 3-4 years old

Meet Padme, a seasoned barn cat who is looking for a peaceful barn or shop to call home. Having spent years on a farm, Padme is familiar with the rustic life and longs for a home where she can continue to roam freely (once she's settled in, of course). Padme is very fearful of humans and has earned the title of "escape artist" here in shelter for her quick moves and expert hiding skills! Because of this, it will be absolutely essential to make sure that she is kept in her new environment for at least 4 weeks before venturing outside. Treats and wet food will also help to ensure that she is coming home.

Another requisite for the right barn cat placement is an adequately heated barn or shop to keep Padme warm and to prevent frostbite in the winter months. Having access to a litterbox, food and fresh water at all times is also necessary. Coming from a group of 4 cats, Padme may also do well with another barn cat buddy or two!
