Lucky came to the shelter with his best friend, Echo, as the other male budgies in the home were always fighting over her! Still timid of hands, Lucky is more comfortable perching on the back of a hand than on a finger. It's important that budgies have a large cage with different perches and toys, a slow transition to a pelleted diet, daily leafy greens, seeds as an occasional treat, and the chance to fly outside of their cage at least once a day. It'll be extra important to ensure that Lucky and Echo don't produce anymore budgies, but our counsellors can tell you more about how to keep them from laying eggs. Lucky and Echo are ready to chirp and chatter their days away with you by their side!
