Originally thought to be a boy budgie, Echo came from a home where all of the male budgies were fighting for her affections. As her previous people didn't want any of the budgies to get hurt, they made the hard decision to help her find a home where she can be with her best friend, Lucky! Echo has always been a little scared of hands and has learned to step onto a perch to get some free flying time and stretch her wings. It's important that budgies have a large cage with different perches and toys, a slow transition to a pelleted diet, daily leafy greens, seeds as an occasional treat, and the chance to fly outside of their cage at least once a day. It'll be extra important to ensure that Echo and Lucky don't produce anymore budgies, but our counsellors can tell you more about how to keep them from laying eggs. Echo and Lucky are ready to chirp and chatter their days away with you by their side!
