Say hello to Turnip, an active bunny still learning to trust people. Turnip came to the Calgary Humane Society through no fault of her own when her previous owners were no longer able to care for her. Now she's looking for a patient and experienced furever home for her to live out the rest of her life.

Turnip is an energetic and active bunny; she loves a lot of space to run around and play! She'd love to spend her days= free roaming, exploring, watching TV with you, and taking naps just where she'll be most in the way! Turnip is still gaining confidence around people. Currently she's not a big fan of being petted or handled and she's a bit particular about the arrangement of her toys and dishes; preferring them undisturbed by humans. As such, she will need time and care to learn to trust you in her space. Her former foster parent says food is the way to her heart though, so with some patience and yummy veggies she will start to trust.

To help her thrive, it's essential to provide Turnip with a spacious, bunny-proofed area where she can free roam and explore. A proper diet of hay, fresh greens, and limited pellets will keep her healthy, while enrichment activities like tunnels, toys, and digging boxes will keep her curious mind engaged. Turnip particularly likes tossing her toys; she'd love a set of stacking cups to topple. Turnip is currently hanging out in the comfort of a foster home while she waits for her new family; reach out to Calgary Humane today if you want to learn more!
