Thank you for your interest in adopting an animal with Calgary Humane Society. As we are an open-admissions shelter, all species of animals come through our shelter. Joining our adoptions want list will help us find suitable homes for our animals.

Calgary Humane operates on a first-come-first-served basis through our online booking system. All available animals are on our website. Please note that you do need to make an appointment to adopt an animal.

The adoptions want list is used to find homes for animals who have not had an adopter come forward through our first-come, first-served system. Joining the adoption wants list does not guarantee you will be contacted, nor does it put you on a waiting list for a specific animal.
